Documentary film development

Documentary has real challenges because the fact that something really happened doesn’t mean it will make a film that works. “Merely true” is not good enough. Our documentary specialists, John Hughes and Karin Altmann, can help you find the story at the heart of the material.

There is a range of ways in which ScriptWorks can assist

  • reviewing proposals
  • reading, consulting and reporting on the script
  • viewing and advising on research footage and cuts
  • advising on the narration script
  • editing the script
  • editing or re-writing the narration, and
  • consulting in the cutting room.

You decide what ScriptWorks advice or services you need, then
