Andy Cox
Andy Cox works as a writer, script doctor and script consultant in Australia, the UK and Europe. He has written for film, television, documentary and theatre, and has worked with some of the country’s most interesting directors, including Bruce Beresford, Kriv Stenders and Ana Kokkinos.
He is the writer of the Australian features Lucky Country and Under a Red Moon and the historical television docu-drama Australia On Trial.
He has also worked as a script doctor, script editor and rewriter on a number of Australian and international feature productions, and presently has five commissioned features in active development, as a writer and producer.
Andy has been a project manager and continues to consult for Screen Australia, Screenwest, Screen New South Wales, Film Victoria, Screen Tasmania, Screen ACT and the South Australia Film Corporation, as well as for independent producers and production companies, including See Saw Films, Arenafilm, MacGowan Pictures, Enjoy Entertainment and Story Bridge Films.
Andy has also worked as a mentor and adviser for Film Victoria’s Catalyst and Catapult development workshops, the Script Factory’s development workshops, Screen ACT’s Pod workshop and is a consultant and adviser for the renowned European eQuinoxe script development program.
