Louise Gough

Before moving to New York City, Louise worked as script manager at Film Victoria, a state-based investment agency, where she oversaw development investment in a slate of feature film and television projects.

She managed all script development programs and initiatives, made decisions on investment and funding and oversaw successful projects through development.

Most recently Louise works throughout Europe for Sources 2 as a script advisor at their prestigious development residential program.

Louise was awarded an Australian Film Commission Filmmaker Fellowship. This enabled her to spend 2007/8 at Vox3 Films, an independent development and production company based in NYC, under the direction of Andrew Fierberg, Steven Shainberg and Christine Weiss-Lurie.

Her development experience also includes working at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) as an editorial manager for the TV Drama and Narrative Comedy division. While at ABC TV Louise worked across the development of over 50 hours of television drama including mini-series (The Silence and Shark Net), long form series (Fireflies) and telemovies (Hell Has Harbour Views). She was script editor on Bran Nue Dae, closing night feature at the Melbourne International Film Festival 2009.

In addition to her work in film and television Louise has extensive experience as a dramaturg in theatre, working with Australia’s leading playwrights.

Louise is currently based in NYC and works in the US, Europe and Australia across theatre, film and television.
